This is a 24% lead crystal centerpiece bowl blown into an antique shape and cut by hand by one of the Locchi workshop artisans who grind and engrave glass crystal in the traditional manner without the assistance of modern techniques. An elegant pattern of a hand-etched floral motif runs across the body of this large vessel.
As this is a handmade object, each piece is unique and may feature bubbles and light tool marks. Each piece is hand-signed with the Locchi name.

Tucked away on a small street in Florence’s artisan district – the Oltrarno – is the small Locchi family workshop. This atelier is famous all over the world for the quality of its restoration of glass and precious crystal items. The Locchi family has been restoring, grinding, and carving crystal objects since the nineteenth century, when the family was commissioned work by the Grand Duke of Tuscany.
“The ability and experience of our craftsmen allow each object to have the same characteristics as those crafted centuries ago.” –Matteo Locchi
