Description

Fatto a Mano owner Massimo Mallamace has transformed this vintage steamer trunk into a one-of-a-kind bar cabinet with plenty of storage and a unique flip-top drink prep area. This compact bar cabinet offers storage for up to 26 bottles (20 bottles horizontally in the rack and up to 6 bottles vertically), two drawers for bar tools and accessories, a storage rack for up to 8 wine glasses, and a barware shelf for up to 10 glasses.  The bar cabinet sits on casters so it is easy to move around even when full of your favorite libations.  To access the drink preparation area, simply lift the hinged top. The brass hardware is original to the trunk and the latches keep the trunk bar closed when not in use.  Unlike other bar carts, with this cool bar cabinet, you can decide whether you want to show off your collection or stash it away.  Adding to the character of this piece, there is a remnant of an old shipping label on the backside of the trunk.

When closed, the cabinet is 20 ½” wide x 21 ½” deep x 43 ½” tall, and when the hinged top is open, it is 50” tall.  When fully open, it is 45” wide x 22” deep. The wine glass storage area is 18 ½” wide x 8” deep x 10 ½” high; the drawers are approximately 18” wide x 7” deep x 3” high; the drink prep area is 18” wide x 8” deep; the barware storage shelf is 18” wide x 8” deep x 7 ¼” high; and, the lower storage shelf area is 18” wide x 4” deep x 19” high.
