A small mirror with plenty of Italian charm. The frame once served as a “cantagloria” or altar card frame. This ornate frame has been fitted with an old mirror with an aged patina. The wood frame has a wavy design and a deep brown with dark gold color. The “feet” are nicely carved with scroll accents.
Altar cards were placed on the altar only during Mass and they framed the written prayers that the priest would have recited during the Mass.
