Description

Set of six antique Renaissance style walnut dining chairs from Tuscany with new distressed leather seats finished with aged brass nailheads. Chair backs feature exceptional hand-carved details including a central cartouche flanked by swags above a section of 5 turned spindles, and carved acanthus leaves top the back posts. The chairs are raised on four turned legs connected by four carved stretchers, and the front stretchers all show the expected wear from years of use as foot rests. A fabulous set fit for an important table.
