Description

Fabulous rare antique Italian mercantile display cabinet with an upper section composed of six compartments behind glass doors that lift up and slide back and a lower section with a central open storage space divided by one fixed shelf, flanked by two additional storage spaces behind locking glass doors, also with single fixed shelves. The six spaces behind the glass doors each measure 23.5” wide x 10.75” deep x 10.5” h. Highlights of this unique cabinet include hefty brass hardware, thick beveled glass, high-quality doors, and expert craftsmanship.

This cabinet was once used in a shop in Italy and then for a decade in our shop as a perfect “alimentari” cabinet, displaying the fine Italian delicacies that we once sold. It would be a great display cabinet for a small shop, but would be a wonderful and useful storage and display cabinet in a home with character.
