Description

Large faux-painted rustic cabinet from Tuscany, dating from the 17th century. This cabinet came from the Crocetta Monastery in Florence and had been used to store olive oil, under lock and key! The front and sides are faux-grain painted while the top is painted to mimic granite. Layers of old paint covering the faux finish had to be carefully removed to reveal the original look of this unique piece. An unusual piece that could work well with a modern industrial look.
