Delightful Italian carved cherry wood rush seated bench from the second half of the 19th century. The four carved backs are gracefully curved. The carved eagle heads at the ends of the scroll arms are an unexpected and charming feature. The tapered, splayed legs are solid and sturdy.
The seat height is 17” and the depth ranges from 16.5” (at ends) to 17.25” deep (in center).
The condition is very good with minor repairs to the rush seat (see photos).
