Petite two-drawer walnut chest c. 1790 from the Piemonte region of Italy. The drawers are mounted with large round bronze ring pulls and escutcheons. The sides of the case feature a carved reeded design, which is repeated on the shaped apron. The chest rests on tall square tapering legs. The black marble top with striking gray and white veining is gracefully shaped to match the shape of the chest. A classic piece fit for a stylish home.
