A handsome early 18th century carved walnut sideboard from Tuscany. A wonderfully warm and rich patina and hand-carved details make this credenza a standout. Flanking and between the doors are fluted pilasters topped with classical carved swags. The two paneled doors feature original iron hinges and working locks with a single skeleton key. The interior features a single continuous shelf. The top is a single plank of solid walnut with a simple ogee edge. The heavy molded base provides a solid foundation for this stately piece.
