I found the red Murano glass beads in Venice and think they make a fantastic earring combined with a flat round black glass bead and round black faceted glass bead. The Murano bead incorporates a technique called "filigrana" reflecting the fine lines ("fili") blown into the glass. They are 3" long including the sterling silver ear wire. They are quite lightweight and make a great addition to your wardrobe.
They are one of a kind and handmade by me in my San Francisco studio.
