I was excited to find a treasure trove of fancy French buttons from the 40's and have used one of them as the pendant in this necklace. The centerpiece of the button has some iridescent streaks and is framed by a fantastically detailed setting. Smoky quartz, topaz crystals, vintage faceted glass ovals and mottled Czech glass faceted beads coordinate beautifully with the vintage button.
Overall length of this necklace is 18" plus a 4" extension chain that ends in a topaz crystal drop.
This necklace is one of a kind and lovingly handmade by me in my home studio in San Francisco. Most of my creations are a mix of antique, vintage, and new parts, some of which may show signs of aging and wear. I feel that such “imperfections” only add character to the piece and hope that you do too.
