The striking jasper stone carving of two facing fish is combined with red tiger eye, picture jasper, onyx and feldspar beads. I have added a leather tassel and soft sueded leather "thong" to form this distinctive necklace. The double fish symbol is regarded as one of the eight treasures in Buddhism. It is not only a protective amulet, but also is worn to attract good luck. Keep it for yourself or give it to someone special.
It is 46" long and the carved fish is 2-1/4" in diameter.
This necklace is lovingly handmade in my home studio in San Francisco. My one-of-a-kind creations are a mix of antique, vintage, and new parts. I have loved working with “found” objects for as long as I can remember! Ever since I started in the '60s, creating jewelry has been a source of immense joy and therapy.
